Yay! A development kit for the rabbitcore microprocessor board showed up today! Usb connection to interactive debugger and editor. Tcp wifi stack. All out-of-the-box with a prototyping board. The thing is the size of a credit card (1.84” × 2.85” × 0.50”) and runs on 3.3v. Amazing what people out there in the world are accomplishing.

That is really nifty! What are you going to build with it?
Can’t really say what it’s for just yet… But it involves remote process control. :)
These little things are really powerful though. Today (from more sample code) I had it running a handful of little web apps.
I have to say… Having a bare circuit board in one hand and an ipod in the other - using safari to turn LEDs on and off via lan web - really speaks to the primal geek in me.
Has me a little nervous though - this little bugger’s just a hair over a hundred bucks. I’ve worked with microcontrollers before and haven’t smoked anything yet, but those were ten or twenty dollars tops.
Next up: gotta get some ADS7828 eight channel 12 bit a/d converter chips. The 4400W board (wifi enabled) doesn’t have the adc capabilities which the other models have if you can believe it.
